Carter "Dean" Hammond, age 85, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. Dean was born March 12, 1938 in Coats, Kansas to Hazel Belle Goeller Hammond and Carter O. Hammond.

Dean served honorably in the United States Army.

Dean is survived by his wife, Joanne Hammond; son Doug Hammond (Nancy); grandchildren Michael Hammond and Allison Laswell (Nicole).

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lloyd Hammond.

A Celebration of Life for Dean will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at LifeChange Church, 10225 E Kellogg Dr, Wichita, KS 67207.
