As Christmas approaches it blesses me to remember so many good times of laughter, Carol’s smile, our conversations about life and God’s goodness and she praised God that all her 3 daughters were serving the Lord, and her encouragement to me. We swam together at the La Palma house on my birthday and she was loving the pool that summer day in July for her back. Our last time together was having a December Christmas 🤶 breakfast at Gourmet Cafe in Cypress. I cherish every moment we shared together and I know she is so happy in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So as we celebrate Jesus Birthday, we also celebrate the beautiful life of Carol and her devoted life to God, her family and friends.

There are so many great times I had with Carol,  Dinners at La Capilla, my Birthday swimming and pizza  party at Marks & Mona’s house,Christmas Season Celebration breakfasts at Gourmet Cafe. As you can tell we broke bread often, prayed and laughed and shared many stories.

The most precious conversation we had was during the Christmas season on the patio of West Cypress Church and Carol was sharing with me her joy and happiness that all her three daughters were saved and serving the Lord. She chuckled as she shared sometimes she wondered if she would see the day when all her daughters would be serving the Lord. 

Carols prayers were answered because the prayers of a righteous woman are effective and Gods hears a mothers prayers and sees her tears for children and grandchildren.

And now Carol is in the presence of our Lord 
and savior Jesus and has passed the baton to her 3 daughters Melinda, Michelle and Mona and family to share the truth of His Word and follow Jesus and be fishermen of souls for His Kingdom.

We are thankful to have met Carol & to be blessed with her delightful and warm spirit. One of our favorite memories was the night we played Trivial Pursuit with Carol and Joe. There was an obscure question about the song, "Wolverton Mountain," and both Joe and Carol's faces lit up as they first hummed then sang the lyrics to that very song. They both looked at each other and confidently answered, "Clifton Clowers!" and took the lead in the game. [See their victorious singing of the winning answer above.]

This memory stands out for us because it shows Carol's warmth and her wonderful, funny, and loving relationship with Joe. Her warm spirit overflowed into each person Carol met, including our family.

We will miss Carol dearly but we know that she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and that we will see her very soon.

My Caroldy, as I sometimes called her, was a best friend and confidant, especially in regards to missions and people in sensitive areas.  I could tell her things and know they wouldn't go anywhere or she'd be discreet about it.  It's hard remembering I can't just pick up the phone to share something with her or have a shoulder to cry on and then end up laughing with her.  

We'd run into her and other family members and be invited to join them.  I'd be concerned about interrupting their family time and she'd always say, "Come on you Are family ."  We always had plenty of laughs, felt accepted and one of the family It meant a lot to us as we don't have family nearby.  

Carol, while very happy and enjoying time with other family and friends who've gone before her, will be sorely missed!  Farewell my friend I'll always love you. 

Oh I just loved this lady...always a smile and such a big heart...what a blessing to everyone.  Hugs and prayers.

So sad to learn of Carol's passing. She was such a Sweetheart! Always with a big hug and lots of laughs. She will be very missed and never forgotten!

I specifically remember and often think about the time when we hadn't seen everybody for quite a spell as my dad would put it lol. But we walked into, I believe it was shredders one night or 1 day,  I can't remember and there sat most of the moyer clan. It gave me a feeling of walking home Honestly.  I will always hold that memory close to my heart because the Moyer family have been a part of my life my whole entire life.  I'm so truly sorry for your loss! Love to you all!  Christy Stephens

One of my memories of Carol is that she set me up with a student at K-State to go on a date.  If I remember correctly, it was to a skating rink.    

Grandmother Carol was without a doubt one of the very best people God put on Earth and her absence will be felt by our family forever ❤️
