Carl "Al" Erickson, 96, Al reunited with the love of his life on April 23, 2017. Al served in the United States Navy during World War II and would later retire from both Boeing and General Dynamic Convair where he worked as an engineer. He was a longtime member of Aldersgate UMC and was very active with the church’s’ programs. He was preceded by wife of 72 years, Libby Erickson; son, Bob Erickson, sister, Elsie Sheedy; grandson, David MacKay. Al is survived by son, John (Linda) Erickson; daughter, Susie (Duane Charlson) Erickson; grandchildren, Derek (Gail), Jason (Kathy), and Jeremy (Lynsey) Erickson Tom (Terry), and Kim Terry; 15 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 29th and Funeral Service 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 both at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church or Kansas Senior Services Meals on Wheels Program.
