Cole, Carl J., 69, died December 18, 2012 at Harry Hynes Hospice Unit at Via Christi St. Francis. Carl was born April 19, 1943 in Warsaw, MO. to Chester M. and Margaret D. (Ferguson) Cole. He and his wife owned and operated Cole’s Mower Service, Inc. in Wichita from 1968 thru 1995. He died after a 4 year battle with lung cancer. He enjoyed camping, boating and waterskiing, trips he and Helen took on their Goldwing, as well as building 1/12 scale dollhouses. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen; sons, Christopher (Jennifer) of Wichita, Andrew (Kelly) of Goddard; grandchildren, Philip, Katie and Michael. He is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Stetina of Yates Center; brother, Edson Cole of Hamilton; half brother, Joey Doss; half sister, Sandra Beardmore of Yates Center; mother, Margaret Green of Fall River; brother-in-law, Russell Nicholson of Belton, MO. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, brother John Cole and sisters Janie L. Cole and Betty Nicholson. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Visitation with family present will be 6:30 to 8 pm Friday, Dec. 21 at Resthaven Mortuary. Per his request he will be cremated and inurned at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lincoln, MO at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations requested for Sunnyside Cemetery Fund and Dillon Cemetery Fund in c/o Helen Cole.
