He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Rudy worked in electronics at Boeing for 15 years then became an independent businessman and real estate developer. He was an avid camper and loved music, played numerous instruments and sang with a barber shop quartet.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Kay”; parents, John Henry and Lilly; brothers, Dale and DeVern; grandson, Thomas Peckham.
He is survived by his son Gary (Ginger) Ruedebusch; daughter, JoAnn (Richard) Peckham; 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and dear friend, Christine Price.
Funeral service 10:30am, Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Metro East Baptist Church, 333 N. 143rd St. East, Wichita, KS 67230. Interment will follow at the Andover Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial established with Salvation Army Camp Hiawatha, 1601 W. 51st St. N., Wichita, KS 67204.
