Bonnie Maxine Fechner,age 90, of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully on February 2, 2018, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on April 9, 1927 in Green Forest, Arkansas to her parents, Ollie and Edith Turner, and she was the older of two daughters. She was married to Wilburn G. Standlee in 1950 and had two sons, Chris and Tim Standlee. On April 26, 1968 she was married to Dale Fechner and they lived together in Wichita, Kansas until Dale’s death on April 16, 2013. Bonnie and Dale were both residential Real Estate Brokers in Wichita, and worked together for approximately 30 years as a successful real estate sales team until their retirement in the early 2000’s. Bonnie was most recently affiliated with Plaza Real Estate as well as with several real estate associations, and was a long time member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was dedicated to her career and had a strong drive to succeed, but family was the most important thing to Bonnie. She enjoyed traveling, but loved gardening and spent most of her time after retirement working in her pristine lawn and gardens. She loved interacting with people and most of all, her time with family. She is survived by her two sons, Chris Standlee and his wife Karla, and Tim Standlee, as well as by grandchildren Kelsi Crites, Chris Edwards, Brian Edwards, Scott Evans and Justin Evans, and by 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Joyce White, her husband Dale Fechner, and her daughter in law Lisa Standlee. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Bonnie at 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 7th at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, followed by a service at 10:00 am also at Grace Church. A private interment will follow at Lakeview mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that friends and family consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
