Bobby was born August 24, 1933 in Gainesville, Texas. As an infant, the family moved to Purdy, Missouri, where she graduated from Purdy High School in 1951. After high school she moved to Long Beach, California where she met Dennis L. Carr. They married on January 2, 1955, and subsequently raised 3 children, Susan, Randall, and Greg, in the Wichita, Kansas area.
She lived her life as a homemaker, par excellence, and a wonderful nurturing mother. She was a fabulous cook and the "hostest with the mostest" for others. She was a mother to many.
Bobbie was an active member at Cleveland Avenue, Central, and RiverWalk Churches of Christ. Her faith in God and our Saviour Jesus Christ led her to live life in a gentle appreciative manner. She walked humbly before the Lord and extended love and graciousness to all those she met. There was not a baby around that was around that did not get held by those loving arms.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her fathers, Robert Bennett, Billy David Hemphill; mother, Freddie Akin Bennett Hemphill; and her husband, Dennis L. Carr.
She is survived by daughter, Susan (Joe); son, Randall; son, Greg (Debra); brothers, Russell Hemphill (Janet), Ike Hemphill (Judy); grandchildren, Jessica Maddox (Kyle), Lauren Greer (Sam), Maranda Stebbins Carr, Katie Carr, Andrew Couey (Jaime), Jennifer Bowman (Quinn), Christopher Wiechman (Colleen), Dustin Wiechman; great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Hardie, Jocelynn, Reagan, Colton, Liam.
