Tatum, Billy G., “Bill” 89, Tatum Company Owner, peacefully passed away to be with the Lord Jan. 3, 2015. Bill was a WWII Navy Veteran and American Legion Member. He was a member of the 1st Nazarene Church in Wichita who enjoyed fishing and gardening and in 1954 opened his landscaping business Tatum Company. He would operate his business for 40 years until he retired and moved to Howard, KS, where he would do odd jobs and join the Flint Hills Assembly of God Church. Bill loved taking trips all over the country and the simple things in life like eating ice cream and feeding the ducks with his daughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lois Tatum, sisters, Ruth Woodworth, Lee Nell Verner, and Dorothy Baldwin, and his brother, Jack Tatum. He is survived by daughters, Janis Bates and Brenda (Michael) Bender; son, Frank (Martina) Tatum; grandchildren, Lisa (Chris) Perry, Kim Salas, James Moyer, Margaret (Michael) King, Monica Bender-Pierce, Mallory Tatum, Mikaela Duncan, Mathan Tatum; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thurs. Jan. 8th, 2015 with family receiving from 6-8 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home 4408 W. Central Ave. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Fri. Jan. 9th, 2015 at Winfield Kansas Veterans Cemetery.
