Bill Spencer

Spencer, Billy Bob, 93 Passed from this earth July 24, 2017. Bill was born in Wichita, Kansas on August 27, 1923. Following graduation from Wichita East High School he served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II. Bill returned to Wichita to continue his career in the automotive business. For over 50 years he worked and eventually owned and operated the Spencer’s Dodge Dealership on East Douglas Avenue. He was a lifelong member of Hillside Christian Church. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Wanda Maxine (Johnson). He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Myra and Greg Waldo, Margo and John Grover and Marlene and Phil Glenn; nine grandchildren, Paige (Grover) and Barry Morgan, Tyler Grover, Brittany (Waldo) and Austin George, Scott and Cara Glenn, Austin and Caitlin Waldo, Whitney (Grover) and Adam Neth, Emily (Glenn) and Brian Stockton, Spencer Glenn, Travis and Madison Grover; and seven great-grandchildren. The family plans a private memorial service. A memorial has been established with Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67206.
