McLaren, Bill, 95, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Saturday October 7, 2017 in Whitewater, Kansas. Bill was born on September 13, 1922 in Wichita, Kansas, son of Sidney and Mabel (Watts) McLaren. Bill served in the United States Army during WWII. He enjoyed dancing at various senior centers after his retirement from Boeing. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert D. Mclaren; brothers, Delmer and Reginal; sisters, Evelyn Harman and Ellen Baker; one great-great-granddaughter; and the mother of his children. Vada (Ayers) McLaren. He is survived by sons, James (Karol) McLaren of El Dorado and Larry D. McLaren of Wichita; daughter, Joetta Weeden of Wichita; sister, Gerry Rowlett of Evans, Colorado; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 12, 2017 with graveside services to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Linwood Senior Center, 1901 S. Kansas, Wichita, Kansas.
