Martin, Bernard LaVerne, 83, retired Coleman employee, of Wichita, Kansas, went to be with the Lord, on February 28, 2014. Bernard was born on September 22, 1930 to Joseph and Stella Martin of Gaylord, Kansas. Bernard graduated from Gaylord High School in 1949. He enlisted in the Army in 1951. He was married June 10, 1967 to Marilyn Kuhns at Wichita First Church of Nazarene. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ormal and Leland Martin and sisters, Fleta Collicott, Letha Barrett, and Marilyn Nichols. He is survived by wife of 47 loving years, Marilyn Martin of Wichita; son, Kirk (Cindy) Martin of Holiday;, FL; daughter, Rhonda (Dennis) Coad of Madison, AL; son, Kyle (Natalie) Martin of Wichita; grandchildren, Melodie, Briana, Patrick, Joshua, Jessica, and future granddaughter, Janny; great granddaughter, Cadence; brothers, Kenneth and Eldon Martin and sister, Bernadine Duntz. Bernard or Bernie, was an avid Shockers fan, enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and was fulfilled by his faith.
