Ben Alvin Spencer

Spencer, Ben, 89, retired CPA with Fox and Co. passed away March 19. Born in Arkansas City, Kansas, Ben was a World War II Veteran. He graduated from University of Kansas and was an avid KU sports fan. He was past president of The Wichita Club, Board Chairman for Presbyterian Manor and Treasurer of Retired Professional and Business Men’s Club. Ben was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Spencer. He is survived by his children: Peggy Schmitz (Mike) The Colony, Texas, Bob Spencer (Marion) Athabasca, Alberta, and Jim Spencer (Angie) Wichita; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, March 26 at Resthaven Mortuary from 5-7. Funeral services will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church Tuesday, March 27 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established with: Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2258 Marigold Lane, Wichita, Kansas 67204 and Presbyterian Manor, 4700 W. 13th, Wichita, Kansas 67212.
