Belinda Mae (Taylor) Cheaney, was born August 26, 1950 to Leroy and Helen Taylor in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was the 5th of 12 brothers an sisters. Belinda Mae Cheaney, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 was called back home at the age of 71 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Warren Cheaney of 48 years; father, Leroy Taylor Sr.; mother, Helen Floyd; sister, Loretta Jones; and brothers, Leroy Taylor Jr. and Steven Taylor.
Survived by her children, Christopher (Carleta) Cheaney, Timothy Cheaney and Schiquita Cheaney; grandchildren, Christian Cheaney, Jasmine Cheaney, Latyvionna Washington, Destiney Washington, Lawrence Tisdale, Montorria McCray, Marcellus McCray, and Marlon McCray; siblings, Diana Floyd, Carolyn, Edith, Howard Taylor, Zillah Ingles (Jim), Michael Sessions, Ciradah O'Campo-Taylor, and Ava Simmons (Lonnie).
As a two time Cancer Survivor, she was a beautiful loving soul that enjoyed helping others in need. She was a member of, Church Women United & Mother for Mother of Wichita and a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Omaha. she continued her education as a nurse until retirement. Hobbies she enjoyed were mystery novels and crossword puzzles.
As a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Belinda Mae Cheaney will undoubtedly be missed by ALL that have known her.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2022, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
Funeral service for Belinda will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, August 6, 2022, with visitation one hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
Burial will take place following the service, 2:00 pm at Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church Cemetery, 11700 E. 85th Street N., Valley Center, Kansas, 67147.
