Barbara A. Goetz

Barbara was born November 11, 1928, in Kingman, Kansas, to parents Anna and JD Ryan. She married Philip Goetz at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kingman, Kansas, on May 1, 1954. They celebrated a loving 52 years together until his passing on June 26, 2006.

She is survived by sons, Darrel Goetz of Kingman, Kansas, Bill (Janet) Goetz of Wichita, Kansas; Daughters Mary (Kevin) Flott of Emporia, Kansas, Martha (Kirk) Dye of Garden Plain, Kansas; 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving Husband, Brothers Joseph and John (Arian) Ryan; and Daughters Phyllis Hopper and Karen Merriman.

Barbara was a nurse at Kingman Community Hospital for many years before moving to Wichita.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 132 S. Millwood Ave, Wichita, KS. With a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM. Following mass will be a luncheon across the street. A burial will take place at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman, KS, at around 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph's School, or the Priests retirement and education fund.
