She was born to William Hobert and Freida Blanche (Rathburn) Smith on June 2, 1927, in Witter, Arkansas.
Ardith was a Nurses Assistant for over 32 years working in pediatric and maternity wards.
Ardith is survived by: son, Ron Armstrong; daughters, Sandra Wilson and Martha Gail Deal; sister, Marie Hudson; grandchildren, Christy L. Oliver, Jon Kalin Eusebio and Brandon Deal; great- granddaughter, Cassandra L. Sweet; and 3 great- great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: husband, Richard H. Armstrong; son, Rodney H. Armstrong; sisters, Doris Jean Armstrong and Vivian Whithead; and brother, William Hobert Smith Jr.
There will be a visitation, Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Resthaven Mortuary, with a Funeral service on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1:00 pm. A graveside will follow. All at Resthaven Mortuary and Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita, Kansas, 67209.
