Alanna Felkins

Alanna was born the eldest of four girls, all raised in Wichita, KS. She attended Munger Elementary, then Jefferson Elementary until they realized she belonged at Isley, a gifted school, Mayberry Junior High, Truesdale Junior High, and graduated from Wichita South High in 1982 of class 1983. Alanna graduated Magna Cum Laude from Friends University completing her Bachelors in HR Management in 2012. Alanna was saved at seven years old and was a lifelong strong Jesus Follower. As a lifelong diabetic born in the 60s, she truly was a living miracle. From giving cesarean birth to her two boys, while supporting her husband serving in our Air Force, all alone in New York, to being the president of Air Source Heating and Cooling, she never ceased to amaze at what she accomplished against all odds. The Lord had His hands on her and kept her with us far longer than any medical expert expected. Serving Him was one of Alanna’s greatest joys. From leading youth ministries from New York and Wichita, to a lead member of Pathway’s praise team, Alanna was always involved in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Alanna is survived by her spouse, Robert Merl Felkins, her mother, Anna Lee Maldonado, her children Joshua Felkins, Brandon (Sara) Felkins, and Ashley Felkins, her grandchildren Taytin Felkins, Audrie Felkins, Natalia Felkins, Lealia Felkins, Josiah Felkins, Nikolai Felkins, Nadia Felkins, and Noah Felkins, her sisters Dori (Marty) Million, Leeala (Douglas) Million, and Rebekah (Darrell) Callahan, her twelve nieces and nephews, and five great nephews.

Alanna is preceded in death by her father, Alfonso Ayala Maldonado, who is waiting for her with open arms in the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

A Funeral Service will be held to celebrate Alanna's life on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:00 am at Pathway Church Westlink, 2001 N. Maize Road, Wichita, KS 67212.
