Agnes E. Marx (Douglass), 93, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Born in Penalosa, Kansas, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Marx; son, Douglas Leo Marx; grandchildren, Nicholas Leo and Melissa Ann Marx; parents, Frank B. and Mary (Shoults) Douglass; along with her five siblings.
Agnes is survived by: her two daughters Cynthia Svitak and Paula Sue Thornton (Patrick); son, Michael Marx (Elke); five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Bonnie.
Agnes retired from Mid Kansas Federal Savings and Loan. She and Ralph enjoyed the RV world with the Good Sam’s Camping & RV Club. Later in life, Agnes called Prairie Homestead home, where she made many dear friends, and learned to play the chimes.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 9:30 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, with the Funeral Service following at 10:00 AM, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Lord's Prayer.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, or Cindy’s Camden Cats, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue of homeless cats, a cause near and dear to Agnes, in care of the mortuary.
