Winnie Moore Mason

Winnie Moore Mason, 87, of Wichita Falls passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday June 2, 2014 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Dr. Jon M. Eckstein, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park at a later date.

Mrs. Mason was born March 2, 1927 in Wichita Falls to the late Morris A. and Winnie (Kromer) Franklin. She was a near lifelong resident of Wichita Falls and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park. She was employed for many years by Foster Cathead and remained in this industry until retirement.

Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Floyd R. Moore and later was preceded by her second husband, George T. Mason. Also preceding her were a brother, Dale Franklin and sisters, Helen Broyles and Sue Owen.

Survivors are her children, Susan Buchanan of Taos, NM, Danny Moore and wife Debbie of Tyler, TX and Terry Keen of Wichita Falls; a sister, Delores ‘Jody’ Spinks of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
