Geri was a person of strong faith, who loved greatly and was loved even more in return. Known as “G” to most, she was generous with everything she was blessed with and happily shared with family. In a quiet way, Geri never missed the opportunity to express her love for her Lord.
The family will receive friends between 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, March 13 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home and services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 14 at First Baptist Church, east sanctuary with Randy Osborn officiating. Interment to follow at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
Geri was born August 13, 1935 to the late Homer and Gladys Lambeth in Hefner, Tx (Knox County). She met the love of her life, J. Ronald (Ron) Hardin in 1950, whom she dated all through high school and married August 29,1954 in Dublin, Tx. and were married for 68 years.
Geri’s contagious smile was most vibrant when she was sharing time with her family and friends. Her love for First Baptist Church was most evident, where she could be found working in the nursery and as chairman of the wedding committee for 16 years. In her business ventures, she worked alongside Ron for many years and loved their many trips around the world. They were inseparable whether at church, work or social events.
Geri was so talented in many ways and really relished the time working and manicuring her yard. Her favorite times of the year were Thanksgiving and Christmas. She would ask each grandchild their favorite dish and it would be on the table. At Christmas, she made sure to have a birthday cake and have a birthday celebration for Jesus.
Geri is survived by her husband, Ron, four daughters; Jana and Michael Tennyson of Ft Worth, TX, Janay Foley of Knoxville, TN, Julie and Wendell Carroll of Wichita Falls, TX, and Jenifer and J.J. Awtry of Wichita Falls, TX.
