Virgil Robinson

Funeral Service is set for 10 AM Friday, February 25, 2022 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation is Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Virgil was born October 24, 1919 in Wichita Falls to Walter Perry and Mamie Jane Robinson. He attended school in Wichita Falls and then was drafted into the Army Air Force. After a brief time there he joined the Wichita Falls Fire Department in 1949. Virgil spent 35 years with the department and retired as Captain of Station 4 in 1984.

Virgil is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna, son; Keith Robinson, son-in-law; Tommy Gillen, granddaughter; Angela Erwin, great grandson; Awetrey Erwin.

He is survived by his daughter; Tamara Gillen, granddaughters; Holly Gillen, Jessica Gillen, great grandsons; Colby Robinson, Nicklos Gillings and Desmond Matin, great-great grandchildren; Brayles, Rynles and Brantley, great daughter-in-law; Makenna Robinson and sister; Maddy Erwin.
