The Lord sent one of his angels to entertain us. Troy Anthony Thomas, 53, was called home on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Anthony Wright and Reverend Billy Delaney officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Troy found peace and solitude most when he was fishing. As an avid fisherman, he loved the outdoors and was a creative soul who always talked a good game. An accomplished “chef”, his love for wild game, particularly “coon” made his palette unique. He loved horror films and his comedic personality often brought out the funny side of everyone who met him.
His love for his family, especially his children, did not always come across in a positive way but his intentions were always genuine with a heart of gold when he chose to let it shine.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Celius “Bud” Thomas and leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Lucy Thomas of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters Angela (Michael) of Gilbert, AZ and Carmen Ivy of Fayetteville, AK; two brothers, Celius “Junior” Thomas of Wichita Falls, TX and Delano Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; his children, Kennaz (Vanessa) Thomas, LaTroya Thomas and DeAngelo Thomas of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews and friends to remember the good times.
