Shirley Ann Thompson

Shirley Ann Thompson, 77, a longtime resident of Wichita Falls was taken home by angels on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 9, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Hodgkins officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson was born December 19, 1937 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Thomas and Florence (Verdell) Rushing. She moved to Wichita Falls in 1960 and it was here she married Robert V. Thompson in 1963. Shirley was a Certified Nurse’s Aide, working for several area agencies for over 30 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Robert V. Thompson, four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her children; Kathy Randle and husband Michael of New Boston, TX, Carolyn Baird of Duncan, OK, Larry Thompson and wife Misti of Oklaunion, TX and Bobby Staton, Jr. and wife Cathy of California; grandchildren, Danielle, Lauren and husband Trey, Casey, Brandy and husband Travis, Cody, Natalie and husband Phillip, Courtney and Brentney; great grandchildren, Shelby, Amber, Hannah, Mason, Kayli, Emerson, Camden, Luke, Bella, Alivia and Nolan.
