Shirley Anne Morrow

Anne was born to Theophil C. Elwert and Mary Josephine (Mallory) Elwert on December 13, 1953 in Wichita Falls. She attended Fannin Elementary and Hirschi Junior and Senior High Schools. After graduating in 1972, Anne joined the United States Army where she became a nurse.

After leaving the service she was employed at Bethania Hospital, also with Breland Hensley and then Texhoma Christian Care Center. Anne loved helping people and animals and also enjoyed art and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Halencak and three grandchildren, Andrea and Tyler Wilson and Tristan Halencak. This is Anne’s legacy she leaves to the world. Also surviving is her mother, Mary Jo Marney; three sisters, Carolyn James, Mary Lovorn and Paula Marney; one brother, Jack Elwert; several nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank all of those who cared for Anne over her many years of illness.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel.
