Ruth E. Richardson, 83, of Byers, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Graveside Services are set for 1:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Richardson was born January 30, 1928 in Washington, Indiana to the late John Brown and Edith (Fordyce) Brown. She married Roger R. Richardson on June 25, 1949 in Washington, Indiana and he preceded her in death in 1990. After Roger’s retirement from the U. S. Air Force, they settled in Iowa Park. Ruth attended the Baptist Church and was a dedicated wife and mother. She especially enjoyed working in the yard.
Survivors include her children; Steven Richardson and wife, Kim of Lake Havasu, AZ., Pamela Zabbo and husband, Paul of Mascoutah, IL. and Scott Richardson and wife, Lee of Byers, TX.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Roger, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Knott.
