He was a veteran of the Korean conflict where he served in the naval reserve. Afterwards, he attended Texas Tech University.
Later Bob transferred to North Texas State University where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Leese. In 1959 he graduated and they were married soon after. The two began a happy life together in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Bob was a dedicated servant and longtime member of the Tenth and Broad Church of Christ, he served there as both a Deacon and an Elder.
For over three decades, Bob worked in civil service at Sheppard Air Force Base. He enjoyed his work there where he rose to the rank of the supervisor of the carpentry course.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, father, an older brother, his wife Mary Ann and his son Scott. He is survived by his son Neil and his daughter Alison, along with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services for Bob will be held at a later date.
