Raymond E Vinson, age 90, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was born on May 2, 1933 to Fayette & Ethel Vinson. He was raised in Hopkinsville, KY and graduated high school in 1951. He joined the US Air Force in 1953 and served our country until 1977. He married Alene (Drew) Vinson in 1956. They had 3 sons, Barry, Larry and Bobby. They were married for 63 years until Alene's death in 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 2 brothers, Charles and Lewis. Raymond is survived by his sons, Barry and wife Francis, Larry and wife Priscilla and Bobby and wife Blanca, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and sister Betty and husband Wayne Dickenson.
Raymond was gifted with an incredible work ethic and was a very accomplished carpenter. He was well known for repairing and remodeling homes for many of his friends and family, and never charged anyone a dime. He will be loved and cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held 4-6 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 2, 2024 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
