Raymond Bedwell Dixon

Raymond Dixon, of Wichita Falls, TX passed away on October 13, 2022, at the age of 87 years old in Wichita Falls, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Friday October 21, 2022 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, TX.

Mr. Dixon was born September 16, 1935 in Thomason, Alabama to Jessie Floyd and Edire Margaret (Guinn) Dixon. He married Norma Ramsey on July 8, 2009, on the island of St. Lucia. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and worked in Aviation on Aircraft interiors. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Garland, TX. Mr. Dixon moved from Nebraska, but was well traveled. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, and shopping for log cabins. He also had a deep love for animals.

Survivors include: Wife Norma Dixon, Brother Floyd Dixon, Daughter Debbie Kemp, Son Richard Dixon and wife Sheryl Dixon, Son David Dixon and Wife Elizabeth Dixon; Stepchildren Marcia Lee, Danny Hollendbaugh and wife Sandi, Fiona Lee-Neymeyer and husband Sean,Grandchildren, Regan McGill and husband Trevor, Jordan JD Dixon and Wife Jessica Dixon, Brian Dixon, Kami Floyd and Husband Jason, and Leah Neymeyer; Great grandchildren include Emerson Dixon and Kami Floyd and Husband Jason’s 3 boys.

Preceded in death by, his parents Jessie Floyd and Edire Margaret (Guinn) Dixon, Brother Clifford “Syd” Surginer, Jr., and an infant sister, Helen Gray Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rathgeber Hospitality House.
