She was born April 30, 1935 in Pampa, TX to Uel and Daily Kirby. She was raised in West Texas and attended Monahans High School. On July 2, 1954 she married Archie Pearce in San Angelo.
She and Archie raised their sons Paul and Mark in Colorado, Georgia, and Texas. In 1980 she opened Peg’s Fabrics in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a successful businesswoman in the fabric and fashion industry for 20 years. She served God at Highland Heights Christian Church in Wichita Falls. After Archie’s death in 1999, she married Jerry Williams on February 15, 2003. They resided in San Angelo where she was active in sewing, jewelry making, dancing, and church activities at 1st Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, and the company of her beloved dog Tuffy.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Williams; children Paul Pearce and wife Sherri, and Mark Pearce and wife Bridget; grandchildren Seth Pearce, Adam Pearce and wife Kristin, John Pearce, and Kelly Pearce; step-children Lynda Wright and Bobby Williams; brother-in-law Lewis Pearce and wife Vickie; and niece Lu Ann Blankman.
She was predeceased by her husband Archie Pearce and her parents Uel and Daily Kirby.
Visitation will be held Tuesday October 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm followed by funeral services at 3:00 pm at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Hwy., Wichita Falls, TX. A celebration of Peggy’s life will take place Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at 1st Baptist Church, 37 E. Harris Ave. San Angelo, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Hospice of Wichita Falls or 1st Baptist Church San Angelo.
