Pat was born on March 24, 1925, in El Dorado, AR., the daughter of Grace Eugenia and Arthur Lee Sheridan. She grew up in Judsonia, AR., and lived most of her adult life in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She was an active volunteer, working with United Regional Hospital in the gift shop. Her volunteer service was recognized in a feature story in the hospital magazine. Pat also knitted hats for newborns at the hospital.
Pat was a longtime member of Elks Lodge 1105 in Wichita Falls and Does 154. She served as Chaplain for the Elks; and President and Trustee of the Does. She was a great cook, enjoyed sewing, and bowled for 40 years in leagues throughout Wichita Falls.
Pat regularly attended the Texoma Cowboy Church in Wichita Falls. She lived the last year at the Pines at Rolling Meadows. The family wishes to thank Tamara and the staff at the Pines for the love and attention they showed Pat. She was happy and felt at home at the Pines.
She is survived by her children: Di Ziegler and son-in-law Dan of Plainview, TX; Mindy Cox and son-in-law David of Burlington, VT; Diane Rugeley Hummel of Fort Worth, TX; Cynthia Rugeley of Duluth, MN; Hank Rugeley and daughter-in-law Debbie of Wichita Falls; Kim Rugeley Snawder and son-in law Bob of Lakeside City. She also is survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren
A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. January 7, 2022, at Hampton-Vaughn Funeral Home. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, Texas, 76308.
