O.D. Jr. Skinner Jr.

O.D. Skinner, Jr., 72, of Wichita Falls went home Friday, April 29, 2011 at a local hospice. Services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Brother Terry Grace of Faith Fellowship Church. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, TX.

O.D., Jr. was born July 13, 1938 in Wichita Falls to Nettie Lorene (Cecil) and O.D. Skinner, Sr. He married Mary Etta Raney June 4, 1955 in Grandfield, OK and together they raised two sons. He owned and operated restaurants and several local businesses for years. He was a pilot as well as a flight instructor who flew weather modifications and crop dusters. He was a Master Mason, member of Dumas Lodge 1009, and a member of Lake Arrowhead Baptist Church.

Mr. Skinner is preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Euell Skinner; and brother, David Lee Skinner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Etta Skinner; son, Bobby Reese Skinner of Wichita Falls; daughter, Lisa Dawn Skinner of Lake Arrowhead; sister, Susan and husband Robert Jacobs of Dallas; brother, James Euell Skinner of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Justin and wife Ninette Skinner, Brandon and wife Nicki McMillan, Marlayna McMillan, Summer Skinner, Brooke Skinner; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
