Maxine Brown Collier

Maxine Collier, 83, of Wichita Falls passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Faith Village Church of Christ, 4100 McNeil Ave. with Mr. Steven Yeakley officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:00 Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Collier was born July 22, 1927 in Norman, Oklahoma to Walter and Ethel (Allbritton) Brown. She married Harry P. Collier on February 9, 1947 in Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in January of 1996. She was a resident of Wichita Falls for over 60 years and she and Harry helped found and were charter members of Faith Village Church of Christ. Maxine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Maxine is survived by a son, Phillip Collier and wife, Renee and a daughter, Tammy Dedmon and husband, Bryan, all of Lakeside City, sister Billie Willis of Fort Worth and grandchildren, Corie Fox, Callie Collier and Colton Dedmon. She was also preceded by six siblings.

Pallbearers for the services are Kevin Fox, Bryan Dedmon, Colton Dedmon, Greg Willis, John Willis and Shayne Armstrong. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Search, c/o Faith Village Church of Christ, 4100 McNeil Ave., Wichita Falls, 76308 or to Sonshine House, c/o Edgemere Church of Christ, 4728 Neta Lane, Wichita Falls, 76302.
