Mary Swanson

Funeral Services will be held April 21, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Conaster officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 6-7 P.M.

Mary was born November 16, 1934 in Clay Center, Nebraska to Frank and Mary Lemkau. Mary married David Swanson on November 5, 1955 in Raton, New Mexico. They were married for 65 years 5 months and 14 days. Mary was a loving, caring person who spent her entire married life raising her 4 children and husband. Growing up on a farm in Nebraska help prepare her for the cooking and feeding of family, friends, and all lucky enough to get her special treats. She took great pride in providing cookies and holiday treats to so many people. We all remember her hours in the kitchen making sure everyone got their favorites.

She is survived by her husband, David Swanson, 2 daughters, Lori Tighe and husband, J.J. and Linda McCaffery and husband, Doug, 2 sons, Danny Swanson and wife, Michele and Ronnie Swanson, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother, Ken Lemkau and wife, Wanda.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, Dale Lemkau, Lyle Lemkau, Irene Krietzfield, Bob Lemkau, Jerry Lemkau and Dean Lemkau.

The family of Mary would like to thank all of the folks at Hospice of Wichita Falls for the exceptionally amazing care provided by the Angels of Hospice of Wichita Falls.
