

Our beloved Mark Hamilton, loving husband, father, son, brother and favorite uncle was received into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mark was born October 20, 1959 in Jersey City, NJ to Myron Carl and Betty Lou (Dorme) Hamilton. He dedicated himself to his family, children, and the love of his life for 33 years, Renee Hamilton.
He loved sports, from the time he could hold a ball and for the rest of his life. He shared special moments on the golf course with his father, Carl Hamilton and brother, Mike Hamilton, who both had successful careers in professional baseball.
Mark especially loved sharing sports with his three children, Christina Hamilton, Anthony Hamilton and Corporal Nicholas Hamilton, USMC. He coached little league baseball, never missing a game and encouraged many young lives.
Mark enjoyed cooking, a skill he learned in childhood from his sweet Italian mom, Betty Hamilton, whom he adored.
Mark was the area supervisor for four local McDonald restaurants for over 30 years. He enjoyed the unique opportunity of working side by side with his amazing big sister, Kathy Holland. They each received the prestigious “Ray Kroc Award” for excellence in restaurant management, an award only given to the top 1% in the country.
Mark is also survived by his little sister, Kim Sides, who adored her big brother.
Along with the immediate family, he will be sorely missed by his nieces, nephews and their spouses who thought ‘Uncle Mark’ hung the moon and had a special place in is heart. They are Amber Holland, Mackenzie Hamilton, Max Hamilton, Ashley Bauer, Jeremy Mills, Jonathan Mills, Ashlee Ellis, Harrison Arth, Stefan Fitzgerald, Mark Fitzgerald, Jake Fitzgerald and Sophie Arth.
All of Mark’s in-laws have special memories of laughter and good times spent together. He will be greatly missed by Robert and Yvonne Grass, Justice Holland, Meridith Hamilton, Michael Arth, Michele Fitzgerald, Greg and Claudia Arth, Lisa Riell , David and Chen Arth.
