Linda Mae Alexander

Linda Mae Alexander, 71, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. A graveside service will be held at Crestview Memorial Park at 3pm on Friday, January 22, with Pastor John Riggs officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at a visitation on Thursday, January 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Highway.

Linda, a native of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and the oldest of eight children, was born July 10, 1944, to B. D. and Lorene (Moore) Pack. After moving to Wichita Falls, she graduated from Wichita Falls High School and later married Jerry D. Alexander on February 23, 1961. They had two sons, Hugh Don and Buddy. For thirty-nine years Linda worked as a dental assistant for Dr. E. D. Wheatley. At the time of her passing she was currently working for Duce Dental with Richard Wills.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She took great pleasure in her grandchildren and attended almost all of their school and sporting events. She also enjoyed spending time in the casinos and taking cruises around the Caribbean. A member of the TOPS club since 1993, Linda enjoyed the many friends she developed there. Linda also loved supporting her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. She was an avid fan since the 1970’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Junior Pack and sister, Phyllis Kay May.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Don Alexander, her son Hugh Don and wife Melinda, and son Buddy W. and wife Becky. Other survivors include her three grandchildren Jeremy, Kyle and Lindy, her sister Rita and her husband Pete Poore, her brother Dale Pack, her brother Harold and his wife Antoinette Pack, her brother Charles Pack, her sister Cletis and her husband Doug Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials in Linda’s honor be made to Meals on Wheels or the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.
