Lidia Garcia

Lidia Garcia was born December 12, 1947 to the late Rev. Fernando Garcia, Sr and Magdalena Garcia. Lidia retired after 23 years of service at Certainteed. She was a lifetime member of "Church of Good News," as well as Pastor from the early 90's until 2005. Lillie accepted Christ at the age of 23. Pastor Lillie was a loving individual who cherished her family, friends and the church. She enjoyed serving the Lord through songs of praise, preaching and blessing everyone through prayer. She lived her days playing checkers, coloring, shopping, traveling to church conventions with her parents and attending church. Everyone she encountered caught a glimpse of heaven through her compassion and loving smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Fernando Garcia, Sr and Magdalena Garcia. Her son Oscar Garcia, her siblings Zeke, Fernando Jr, Ismael, Henry Garcia and Mary Davis.

She is survived by her daughters Frances Allery (husband Jason), Helen McCune (husband Richard). Two granddaughters Lydia Rodriguez (husband Valentin) and Crystal Silva (husband Abel). One grandson Delayne Garcia, three great grandchildren Abraham, Elijah and Amelia Silva. Her fur-grandbaby Xena Lynn. One sister Elizabeth Arredondo, one brother Bobby Garcia and a host of many other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Chapel service will be on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2 PM in the Hampton Vaughan Chapel with a Graveside to follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
