Larry Joe Strickland

A Celebration of Life will be held April 23rd at 3 PM at 11711 FM 368 S Unit B Iowa Park Texas 76367.

Larry was born November 23, 1941 in Callaway, Nebraska to Jack and Darlene (Wind) Strickland. He served his country in the US Air Force receiving Numerous medal and awards, including; Meritorious Service Medal with Two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award with Four Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Service Stars, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Unit Award with Valor Device, Humanitarian Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Leaf, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Korea. After the Military he retired from the Civil Service. He was a member of the Wichita Falls Racing Pigion Club.

Survivors include, children, Tracy Smith, Tami Mead and husband Charles, and Travis Strickland and wife Shannon; grandchildren Taylor Strickland, Trey Smith and fiancée Alyissia, Tori Coop and husband Cody, Ryan Strickland, Michael, Matthew, and MacKenzie Strickland, Jayden Strickland and Caedon and Eric Mead; Numerous extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Strickland; son, Wade Strickland; grandson, Tyler Gann.
