Julia Rios Rivera, 87, passed away July 4, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am Thursday, July 7, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A visitation and viewing will be held from 6pm to 8pm Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. A Rosary and Vigil service will be held at 3pm, Friday, at Hampton Vaughan; burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Julia was born April 30, 1929, to Bernadino and Petra Rios in Scotland, Texas. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to the Senior Zone for many years. Julia liked to work in her garden, cook, and eating with her family. She loved watching her Dallas Cowboys.
Julia is preceded in death by husband; Placido Rivera, and son; Placido Rivera Jr.
Survivors include 7 children; Felix Sapata and wife Delfina, Diana Navarrete and husband Manuel, Linda Coronado and husband Tony, Mary Lopez and husband Arthur, Joe Rivera and wife Irene, Lala Roedell and husband Patrick, and Gracie Lopez and husband Sam, 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren, and one brother; Paul Rios and wife Nellie.
