Joe Ben Ezzell

Joe Ben Ezzell, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 9, 2022 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, September 16, 2022 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hogue and Pastor Tim Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.

Mr. Ezzell was born December 5, 1949 in Nocona, Texas to Vernon and Stella (Vavricka) Ezzell. He lived in Wichita Falls since 1969 where he and his wife owned and operated Underwood’s, Frontier Steak House, Antonio’s Italian Restaurant, Gifts to Remember, and E-Z Food Stores. He attended First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls and was a member of Ambucs.

Mr. Ezzell was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Stella Ezzell; wife, Betty M. Ezzell on November 14, 1987; brother, Jim Ezzell; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Ezzell and Dorris Ezzell.

Surviving relatives include three children, Lonna Tucker and husband, Michael of San Antonio, Texas; Nicketta Osborn and husband, Donald of Burkburnett, Texas; and Christopher Ezzell and partner, Brian of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Jack Ezzell; Jerald Ezzell and wife, Carol; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the funeral home.
