Jessie Louise Harris

Jessie Harris, 79, longtime resident of Wichita Falls died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in Keller, TX where she moved two years ago to be with her daughter. Services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Brother T.L. Wilburn. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Jessie was born August 28, 1932 in Frisco, TX to T.R. and Velma (Peavyhouse) Vaughn. She married Alfred Holton Harris, Jr. March 8, 1963 in Dallas, TX. She was an active member of Heritage Assembly of God Church. She also volunteered at the Interfaith Ministries as well as a number of other organizations that helped people in their time of need. She was an excellent cook, and was a very giving, forgiving, gracious person; the essence of a Christian. Jessie was a people person in every sense of the word.

Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred Harris, Jr., and her parents.

Survivors include her three loving children, John Davis of Denton, TX, Shirley and husband Danny McFall of Keller, TX, Alfred H. Harris, III of Wichita Falls; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Sammie Vaughn of Frisco, TX, Ted and Mary Vaughn of Plano, TX; six grandchildren, John Weston Davis, Leah Marie Rogers, Christy Bolton, Misty Derrick, Jesse Harris, Joshua Harris; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
