He was born on January 20, 1936 in Durant, OK to the late J. B. Tucker and Mable Fortenberry Tucker. On May 28, 1955 he married his one and only true love, Lillian Weber in Kilgore, Texas. Jerry was a Family Service Counselor for Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home and Crestview Memorial Park and served as a minister of the Gospel. He was a Charter Member of Heritage Church in Wichita Falls. He will be remembered for his love and compassion for those that were hurting and in need.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Tucker of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Cyndi Spicer and husband David of Georgetown, IN, Debbie Taylor and Sandy Waterman of Dallas; Lisa Davis and husband Steve of Petrolia; grandchildren, Brandon Spicer and wife Sara, Misty Roe, Aaron Spicer and wife Amy, Dustin Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Jordan Davis and Cole Davis; seven great grandchildren; brother, Ronald Tucker and wife Becky of Sandy, UT; sister-in-law, Lynn Tucker of Rockwall, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, J.B. Tucker, Jr. and wife Tene and Roy Tucker.
Jerry was deeply loved and he will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Bernard and Bob Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
