James Dickerson

Services will be held at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma at 2 PM on November 8, 2022. Escort will be provided by Oklahoma and Texas Patriot Guard Members. Funeral arrangements are under direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.

Larry was born in Frederick, Oklahoma in October 1946, to Jodean and June Dickerson of Davidson, Oklahoma. He married Karen Tucker of Davidson, Oklahoma in 1967. After high school and business college he joined the U.S. Air Force in November 1967, serving in Vietnam from 1969 - 1970. After his military service he worked at Sheppard Air Force Base for 42 years for civilian contractors, Northrop, Lockheed, LSI and retiring in 2013 from Dyncorp as a QS inspector.

In his spare time he enjoyed doing beautiful wood work projects in his shop and enjoyed his yard and fish ponds. Larry was also a proud member of the Red River Cowboy Church in Burkburnett.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Karen.

He will be missed by furbabies, Hippie, Lola and TIny. A special thank you to University Park Rehab and Nursing Home and Hospice of Wichita Falls for the wonderful care he received.
