Helen was a retired school teacher for the Wichita Falls School District, and was a Sales Consultant for Samuel's Jewelers.
She was active in her church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Helen became a member of both The Obedience Club of Wichita Falls and Faith City Kennel Club in 1973. She was a valued member of both clubs and held several offices while showing and training both Afghan Hounds and Whippets. She showed in the conformation ring, obedience ring, and lure coursing. Helen always held a special place for her talented dogs.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Ruth ten Brink.
Helen is survived by her brother Charles ten Brink, sister, Sarah ten Brink, and nephews Steve and Danny ten Brink.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 5-6 pm, with the Vigil and Rosary to follow at 6:00 pm at Hampton Vaughn Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
