Gerald Williams, 73, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Chapel with Reverend Rick Ross of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born to Walter C. Williams and Ollie N. (Hogan) Williams in Wichita Falls and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He married Letty Ross on June 26, 1959 in Wichita Falls. Gerald was employed as a machinist for Foster Cathead for 29 years and later with Pratt & Whitney for 20 years. He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 until 1957. He enjoyed camping and was an avid bass fisherman and was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife, Letty Williams; children, Teddy Williams of Wichita Falls, Jo Lynn Franklin, Iowa Park, Tyna Sanders and husband, James of Pocola, Ok., Wendy O’Gorman and husband, Pat of Amarillo, Tx. and Donny Williams and wife, Kristie of Dean, Tx.; grandchildren, Dustin Little, John Williams, Todd Williams, Gerald Franklin,
C. J. O’Gorman and Jamie O’Gorman; great grandchildren Taylore Little, Cody Little and Kortnie Williams; several nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Bo, Bandit and Jody. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and a sister. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
