Georgia M. Williams

She was born in Cement, Oklahoma. Mom was very proud to be from small town Oklahoma. As a young woman she moved to Wichita Falls, Texas. She would eventually marry my dad and I was born. My mom found herself divorced with a three year old. Realizing she needed computer skills she put herself through trade school.

She was hired by White Stores, Inc. for the position of key punch operator as well as the Supervisor of Key Punch. From there she went to work for the Wichita Falls Independent School District as a baker at Jefferson Elementary School. This job gave her the freedom to attend all my events.

She took on a second job working for Target holding various positions. Somehow she also found time to attend Midwestern State University. Mom eventually retired from both of these companies. She was present for the birth of her granddaughter Melissa. Once again being front row creating memories with all the events, shenanigans and milestones of life. Then, the icing on the cake as mom would put it. She was blessed with two great grandson’s Will and Logan. Mom would often reflect and say she just could not believe how blessed she was with a wonderful family.

Two other big life accomplishments for my mother was paying for her home and buying a new car. She lived in her home well into her seventies.

Dementia would force her move to a nursing home where after five years she passed away.

She is preceded in death by her mother Allie, Father George, siblings Glen, Larry, Donna, Dorothy, a niece and nephew, her son baby Williams.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri Sinclair, her granddaughter Melissa (the baby)Hansard husband Tyler, great grandsons Will and Logan Hansard, many nieces and nephews who love her very much.

Her legacy will always be strong faith, unwavering love and pride for her family along with a strong work ethic.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
