Gale Lasiter Turner of Wichita Falls, Texas, died Saturday, November 19, 2011. A graveside service has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the family cemetery, Pleasant Grove #3 in Wise County, Texas.
Gale was born in Decatur, Texas to Ernest Lasiter and Grace (Harrison) Lasiter Odom. She worked for 35 years for the Wichita Falls Independent School District as an administrative secretary for instructional services and vocational education.
Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her husband James Ira Turner, and her parents.
She was one of five siblings, Lloyd Lasiter, deceased; Lorraine Welborn, Ft Worth, TX; Charles Lasiter, Hurst, TX; Gary Odom, Bonita, TX. She is also survived by her two loving daughters, Pamela Gale Lamb and Linda Sheryl Walker; four grandchildren, Darren Calloway, Jinger Kowlick, Laurie Brotherwood, Lindsey Walker; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
The family will gather at the home of Gale Turner.
