Frances R. Reid

On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th, 2017 Frances Ruth Norris Reid passed away peacefully to her eternal home in heaven surrounded by family. Frances was born on October 23, 1920 in Snyder Oklahoma, to David and Sadie Norris. She was married to James A Reid. Frances was a long time resident of Wichita Falls, where she worked for many years as the owner of a retail store and TV repair business. She was active up until the day of her death. Her favorite hobby was square dancing and she was a member of the Wichita Falls Solos Square Dancing Club, Where she enjoyed square dancing with her longtime friends.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Dirkse, Marcella Noak, and Barry and Garry Lyon. She is also survived by one brother, Robert Norris, along with multiple generations of grandchildren and extended family. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, David and Sadie Norris; spouse, James A. Reid; brother, James C. Norris; and son, Ronnie Reid.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 16th from 6pm – 7pm and the funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 17th at 10am. Both will be held at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with burial at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral. On-line condolences may be made at www.HamptonVaughanCrestview.com
