Evelyn Louise George

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in the Garden of Inspiration at Crestview Memorial Park under the Direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the funeral home.

Louise was born March 2, 1924 in Loraine, Texas to Howard C. Spikes and Lois E. (Coon) Spikes. She married Dan A. George on February 22, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They were married for 27 years and had 6 children together. Louise was a member of Central Christian Church where she was very active in the Golden Heirs Senior Group. Louise worked as an aide at Reagan and Zundy Jr. High Schools and a Library clerk at the Education Center. She retired in 1991. She was active in the Wichita Falls Retired Teachers Association and after retirement she volunteered at CPS.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Bill Spikes.

She is survived by her 6 children Dana Barnett and her husband John of Wichita Falls,. Andy George and his wife Patty of Flower Mound, Texas, Melinda Unger and her husband Gary of Hewitt, Tx, Teresa Hanrahan and her husband Bill of Landenberg, Pa., Kelly Eastman of Wichita Falls, Tx, and Leslie Ezell of Franklin, Tn. She has 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
