Evangelina H Garcia

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Evangelina was born on August 13, 1935 to Sotero and Manuela Hernandez in Kerrville, TX. Evangelia met her husband, Joe Garcia, and married April 26, 1952, in Grandfield, TX. Later they went on to have three amazing daughters, Patricia, Joann, and Sonya.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Evangelina also loved listening and dancing to Mexican music and traveling back home to Kerrville and San Antonio, TX. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the Red Door and playing pool at the 50+ Zone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sotero and Manuela Hernandez, her husband, Joe Garcia, siblings Enedina Villa, Estella Segura, Aurora Garcia, Eloisa Alaniz; and son in law, Henry Gonzales. She is survived by her brother, Raymond Hernandez, her daughters Patricia Gonzales of Wichita Falls, Joann Ojeda and husband, Cosme of Wichita Falls, and Sonya Gutierrez and husband, Robert of Wichita Falls. Grandchildren, Henry Gonzales, Amanda Gallegos, Eloiza Anglin, Cosme Ojeda, Joseph Navarro, Fernando Garcia, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

A Rosary will be held from 6:00–8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Hampton Vaughn Crestview Funeral Home, under the direction of Deacon Samuelson of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
