Edward Smith Jr.

The family will receive friends between 12:00 PM - 1: 00 PM on 12/18/21 at Hampton Vaughn Crestview Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.

Edward was born on June 12, 1936 in Hazard, KY to Stella and Harlan Smith. He grew up in Hazard and upon graduation, he joined the Air Force. He met the love of his life, Margaret Bailey while stationed in Montgomery Alabama. They were married for 58 years. He served in the Air force for 20 years and retired in Wichita Falls, TX in 1977. Edward loved to collect and work on antique clocks. He loved to fish, hunt and sit outside with his dogs. He was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and tried to watch all of the basketball games.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Hershel, Roger, Everett, and Oval and his sister Helen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Smith, his son Kenneth Smith, his daughter and son in law, Kimberly and Tony Pollock, his daughter Kathyrn Porter and many grandchildren that he loved very much.
