She graduated from Enid High School then met the love of her life, James Robert Wilson, and was married on June 5, 1955. Living in many locations, Doris was a steadfast and dedicated Air Force wife raising two boys, J.R. and Jerry and supported them through little league baseball, football and operated the concession stand at the games. She served and volunteered as a band parent at Hirschi High School.
